An invitation is Standing… For you to come take part in the creation, transmission and enjoyment of Nari Sanctuary – a place on the island of Møn in Denmark, where the transformation, maturation and education of humanity – takes place through the Creation of Beauty within and without, with the teachings and transmission of Pema Salem.

Welcome to a Sanctuary of Service. The transmission here is strong and friends tend to walk into the place, following their Life and journey. To grow in the ways they need and strip down to their pure Being along with playing their part in the creation of the place. Nari Sanctuary is a place of Service – to You and by You.

My stay at Nari Sanctuary was both brutal and beautiful. It was a journey trough everything, where I met all the different aspects of myself and of Existence in a playful and kind way. I am grateful, that everything was cared so well for. The food, the togetherness time in the evenings, the working on what appeared. I guess that’s what I learned; that Existence Cares. And that I care too.
I wanted to run away so often, and every time, I could. And yet it was beautiful to be. It is a safe space. A place where nature is free to grow and where animals enjoy to be. An owl lives here too. You don’t see her, but she lives in the trees here, singing her song throughout the night. The sunsets are beautifully red and orange and dip the whole garden in an orange warm light. The Divine Feminine is present everywhere – from every angle Kindness shines trough.
For me it was a meeting with form all anew. I experienced Nari in a very free way and I was very afraid sometimes. Being Seen is a good thing. Luckily I attended this retreat.

Denisa Pop, Romania

When I stepped into Nari I felt a lot of ease in the air, like being received with open arms by the whole land. The first morning there I took a walk into the garden, and the more attention I paid, the more beauty was revealed to me. Each tree was opening up to transmit some of its magic into my own being. Every day I took some hours to tend to the land, and again, I felt this deep communion with it. I remembered how serving out of love and pleasure is. All the time feeling in my system how the land just gives back, again and again and again – abundance. Serving and receiving at the same time, as one being. People say it’s also intense to live here, but I haven’t noticed a lot of difference from my previous life, as inside myself there’s always a lot of intensity, always something moving, feeling, processing etc. Oh, and I love the people here! How there’s a lot of fun, playfulness, and yet a lot of depth, integrity, purpose and care. I’ve decided to stay here a couple of months more, so maybe there will be an update. I spent a month at Nari in Jan-February 2023. The first days upon arrival I felt sheaths of stories and emotions I was carrying drop away, as I was engaging with the different activities at Nari and also in my alone time there.

The purity of this place make it a sanctuary for coming closer to one’s Essence – the place beyond stories we all have inside, in an atmosphere of simplicity and commitment. The morning meditations with Pema infused every day with grace and presence.

I am leaving nourished, where I was hurting, inspired and very very grateful to Pema, the flock of animals, the soil and the other residents of Nari.

Last month I stayed at Nari for a short week. I experienced Nari as a subtle, embracing and nurturing shrine that facilitates coming into rest and clarity on many levels. Located on a quiet and natural peninsula one easily remembers the simplicity at the base of existence, while the many trivialities of societal hassle quickly fall off. The human and non-human beings I connected with there were all very much adding to the richness of the experience. During my stay Pema helped me to uncover deeper personal and absolute truths in a non-conforming way, which is still helping me now to come into Being. I am very grateful for this experience and hope to get back whenever it’s possible.

Nari Sanctuary is a place of deep transformation.
I was scared to go to Nari. I was scared that I would have to destroy the life I spent so much energy building. But I was always stressed. I felt like the environment of my living was oppressive. I felt disconnected from myself and my spiritual path. So I Knew I had to go.

When I arrived at Nari, it was like walking into a soft and slow hug. Feeling Held, Safe and Cosy. That feeling was actually the container for deep growth. Sometimes joyful growth – full of laughs and a deep sense of freedom. Other times, skin-crawling growth and learning to contain the intense feelings I had spent years running away from.

During my three months at Nari, my entire life shifted – a complete reset. I’m now connected with myself and my spiritual path again. I have made the changes that I needed to make in my life – both internally and externally – and I am still making those changes and adjustments today.

I’m so grateful for Nari, Pema and the time I got to spend there. Now, I’m creating my own personal care-filled space here in the US. A space for me to connect more deeply with myself, be held through any process I need to go through, come into beautiful relationship with my body and learn more self-love.

There are no words that can describe Nari as it truly needs to be experienced to truly receive the essence of this sacred place. I could feel HER in the soil, the buildings and the leaves of the trees. The invitation to meet all aspects of myself with love and the gentle holding that was needed is still very much with me. To connect with the people there was such a relief it felt like returning to a true Sangha. The daily meditations with Pema and her loving presence along the way had such a profound impact that I am forever grateful for. My state of being and way of living is evolving in such a natural way. There is no chasing or seeking here, just an invitation to land into the mystery and remembering of my true essence. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I had the incredible pleasure of staying at Nari Sanctuary on Møn for 10 days—a trip that was initially intended to last for a weekend. The space that Pema has created is a true sanctuary, welcoming everyone to expand into the fullness of themselves, without placing any pressure on the individual to do so. Internal and external movements are celebrated in this space. Pema’s spirit is infused into the grounds, and my stay there felt like receiving an eternal hug from the Universe, allowing me to deeply relax into authenticity and honesty. I was especially grateful to have the opportunity to work with Pema personally throughout my stay, which helped me to see and embody the truth more fully. I highly recommend the experience to see what wants to unfold within you.

Hi, I’m Marco. For a period I spent most of my time at Nari to be at the very centre of the work and transmission, that Pema is bringing into this world.

Nari is a unique place, where a quickening of maturation takes place on many levels and in a gentle demand for a deep honesty with oneself, in areas left unacknowledged.

I am very grateful of every moment that I have spent here. I have been engaging in the play of creation from building fences to lighting bon-fires… and on my computer, video-editing Pema’s latest teachings.

Here I am, in Denmark on an Island in the Baltic Sea, called „Møn“. The island rises from the flatland in the west to chalk cliffs of 143 meters in the east. A bit like a stairway to heaven… Including many different landscapes, surrounded by mostly empty beaches, it feels a bit like the end of the world and as if everything slides soon gently into the void.
This Island is for me the perfect environment to tap into the hidden mystery of Life. A fuck-off to the Homeland of Pandemic Panic and an ease of my tensed German nervous system, that finds rest in this natural changes. The weather here continuously varies and paints with the wind, clouds and sun on the canvas of appearances in its most beautiful forms.
Ah, and the smells… I can’t tell you about the smells…
And here is the Place called Nari Sanctuary, a place devoted to HER, the Divine Feminine-Grace; the Great Mother of Creation itself. Represented by Pema, who for me is HER ambassador and my good old friend on this journey of remembrance, of my true nature.
Everything here at Nari Sanctuary seams like a dreamlike reflection of my deepest longing for simple harmonious living. While the sweet taste of emptiness surrounds all the beauty of appearances. Living a simple life by taking care of my surrounding and myself – in all aspects – is here the only daily practice.
And the Animals here are holding for that a loving space: The realised cat „Zazen“ and the shy three others, the impulsive dog „Daya“, the dramatic rooster „Merlin“ and his silky chickens. And especially his eminence „Amenadiel“ the young huge shire-horse and his little pony-friend „Pelle“, are the animal beings, that the Humans here are taking care of and dancing with.
And People are coming and going – and everyone reflects my own being in certain aspects. Triggering processes and nurturing my human longing for connection, while I have time for myself and the precise exploration of my wounded heart.
During the day I get my hands in and onto the Earth and create beauty outside, while I clean my inner space from all the bullshit of this someone. Which is intensely supported by the holding and demanding presence of HER as a high frequency, which words can’t describe. Like the Weather changes on the outside so it changes on the inside – continuously and wipes and sweeps…
And here I will stay as long as it is needed to be absorbed by HER! Diving deeper and deeper into the Harmonious Frequency of HER, touched by daily simplicity and processing of my vulnerable heart in silent observation and surrender to what Is. Until the day my heart has embodied this harmonious frequency in HER depths and is ready to move on…

My visit to Nari Sanctuary cracked me open, a life-altering experience. After just one week there, I began to shed. I shed layer after layer slowly revealing my core all the while confronting my fears, sorrows, and joys along the way. So freeing!
Nari is more than a sanctuary; it is a place to truly come home. Pema has created a beautiful, loving  container within the chaos, where life flows as it should. Living in pure relaxation and in harmony with the wild roaming free, I found my own wild, my own naturalness.
I am in immense gratitude to Pema for the deepening that occurred at Nari, the connection to my essential self, and the peace and presence that has stayed with me.
At Nari, Pema meets you exactly where you are at with love, generosity, and individual attention. She guides you in the direction you need to go with compassion and eloquent wisdom. I feel truly blessed to have discovered the beautiful community that is Nari Sanctuary.
Pema’s deeply compassionate presence holds a space that allows for a sacred opportunity for realisation and healing on many levels.
What I distinctly resonate to with Pema is she masterfully maintains the boundary of simply being a gentle facilitator in Presence.  She takes great care not to slip into the role of an authority that pushes you according to a certain agenda.  This trust has allowed for a deeper relaxation with revealing and allowing my vulnerability in a way, that I have not experienced before.
Being in retreat with the community at Nari was an opportunity for exploration into true humility.  Gently meeting the fear, sadness and joy that arise in that vulnerable space was a gift, that will keep on giving.
I am deeply grateful and feel called to spend more time at Nari to continue on this path.

Nari is a place to be, heal and learn about real human life. Everywhere you feel the frequency of Love and Truth. In every detail is so much beauty. Inside and out. Just being on that ground of Nari is an unforgettable experience in itself.

Pema’s being and words are one of the most transforming things I got presented to in my life. Every time I am with her, I arrive deeper into my true nature. What an immense gift!

Since Pema stays in Nari, the experience of her being gets even more real and human. That was really helpful for me to integrate all the learnings.

What really touched me the deepest was to see her and her husband Matthias, being together and being a witness of their love relationship. For the first time in my life I could see and feel what real marriage can be. I will carry this experience deeply in my heart. It´s pure beauty to see them together.

And not to forget to mention the nature around Nari. woods, cliffs, fields, and the sea only 5 Minutes away by car, so in-between breaks we took a cleaning sea-bath every day.

There was a time in my life, when I considered this question; “What would I create, if I could create without any limits?”

My first thought was to create fulfilment for myself – financial, physical, spiritual etc. Thinking a bit longer I realised, that since there were no limits, why not go ahead and give that fulfilment for others as well. This seemed good, but one thing kept troubling me; it would be difficult to pinpoint Exactly those unique things, that would fulfil me and others. That’s how I came to the idea of ‘the Field of Joy’.

I realised, that the most intelligent thing to create would be a space, which would spontaneously provide the precise fulfilment needed by any individual that enters it. Nari is as close, as I’ve ever seen anything get to this ideal.

Stated simply, Nari is a magical, fun and profound creation brimming with gifts – bringing to Light that, which which is needed – for everyone.

I bow, Nari, and thank you for everything you’ve done for me.
